Our client were a highly respected manufacturer of IP Security products, with a specialisation in the supply of IP transmission & Storage products, from components to full systems.

A UK manufacturer with a strong global business, they are a well known name with a strong customer base.

Due to ongoing growth and expansion plans, our client were looking to hire 2 business development managers. One more senior with strong technical knowledge, and one more junior with real desire to get out there and create new customers.

It was a requirement for the more senior role that the successful candidate must be a technically strong, industry experienced individual. This was proving difficult for our client. It is also worth noting that the client did not have a strong opinion of recruiters and tried to steer clear of recruiters altogether.

We utilised our existing database to locate and track down a very strong 'Technical Sales Manager' with vast experience of IP Security, CCTV and Networking products. He was a very credible, experienced candidate with a technical background, and a very strong knowledge and respect for our clients products.

After a 2 meeting process he was quickly offered a role and accepted immediately.

We were also successful in using our referral system to target and locate a very strong junior sales specialist working for a security distributor. He had good industry contacts and product knowledge, and it helped that he had a professional relationship with the senior Business Developer mentioned above.

Within 6 weeks of taking the role son, both were filled, and both candidates remain in place one year later, helping our client achieve their growth plans.
