Our client are one of the global leaders within the Fire & Security sector. They are the best known name in the Installation, Integration and Manufacturing of Fire and Electronic Security systems.

They have a reputation for delivering the biggest Integrated Projects within the UK.

Due to a significant UK pipeline of major projects, there was a requirement to add a Midlands based Project Manager with strong experience of larger projects.

Our client were finding it particularly difficult to find candidates that had experience of large £500k-£1m projects, and candidates who had experience across both Fire and Security projects.

As with most roles, our initial course of action was to create a long list of potential candidates from a number of sources, including our existing database, social media and referral from trusted sources. We then engage with each candidate systematically, and reduce the long list to a shortlist of 2-3 exceptional candidates.

We quickly identified an existing candidate of ours that was an exceptional fit for the role. He was Midlands based, with over 10 years experience managing large Fire & Security projects. He had managed projects of up to £2m, and was significantly frustrated in his current role, working for a large Installer that were in significant financial trouble in the wake of a takeover. One issue was that his current package was slightly out of reach for our client.

After a 2 stage Interview process, and a detailed vetting process, we were able to negotiate a package that was as close as possible to our candidates current earnings.
